These Terms govern your use of the OarLog app (“OarLog”, “the app”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
OarLog is a digital logbook for rowing clubs. It lets members record trips, lets clubs manage their fleet, roster and maintenance, and keeps distance statistics and leaderboards. OarLog is a record-keeping tool: it does not decide who may row, does not certify that a boat is safe, and is not responsible for how a club operates on the water.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the trips and reports you log.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or use it to break any law or your club’s rules.
A logbook entry is a record, not a permission. Always follow your club’s safety rules and check a boat’s actual condition before going out — a status in the app is only as good as the last report a person filed.
Club data and administrators
In a shared club logbook, your club’s administrators can manage members, boats and entries for the club. You grant your club access to the data you contribute for the purpose of keeping the club’s records. Clubs are responsible for using that data lawfully and only for club purposes.
Availability
We work to keep OarLog reliable, but the service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Because logging works offline, your club’s recent logbook data remains available on your device even if sync is temporarily unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OarLog and its developer are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any incident on or off the water. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.
Third-party services
OarLog relies on third-party infrastructure for authentication, storage and synchronisation. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the app and on this page, with an updated date above.
